Drive-by sale sightings

As of today, there were sale signs up at The Villager on Broadway (gown store), American Shoe, and Envy (clothing store), all on Broadway.  This was just a drive-by sale spotting so I don't have any details.  Based on the window signs, it looks like there are more things on sale in-store than is posted on the site.

SC Johnson freebies

I'm not a big fan of product websites that require memberships for you to avail of samples and coupons because you just never know how much mail (email and snail mail) you'll end up getting.  Plus, some people worry about security of information.  And to top it all off, sometimes the samples they send are too small (e.g. a sachet of face cream good for one application) to be worth the trouble.  

Having said all that, SC Johnson (parent company of Ziploc, Windex, Glade, Pledge, etc.) has such a website called Right @ Home and its samples might be worth the trouble of signing up.  I have not joined myself but I am tempted.  Their current promotion is a Ziploc Pack-and-Go Gift Pack, a full pack of Ziploc sandwich bags and Ziploc Fresh Shield Twist and Loc containers.  Who can't use free Ziploc bags and containers, right?  The catch?  They only have 10,000 gift packs available and they are available to CURRENT members only.  So, don't join if you're just hoping to get some Ziploc!  They also say that if you've received another gift pack from them within the past 180 days, you aren't eligible for the current one.  I guess that's why they can afford to give full-size samples.  Members only get the cool gifts packs twice a year at most.  Other times, there are various coupons available.  

Anyway, since their current freebie is useful, the thought is that their next one might be as well.  I'm still not sure it's worth the trouble though.

Old Navy Weekly 7/9 tips

The Old Navy Weekly site has updated its coupons.  The site looks the same mostly but the coupons have been switched around.

$20 off $100 -- Click on the link to the video in the bottom left corner of the page.  Keep your cursor arrow positioned over the video.  Once the arrow changes into a hand, click to uncover the coupon!  The time to click changes so you just have to watch for the hand.

$15 off $75 -- There are three flowers on top of the bunch that can be dragged and dropped.  Drag the first dark purple flower over to the blonde model's head, over where her left ear should be (next to her left eye).  The light purple goes to the right ear of the model in the blue shirt.  And the other dark purple goes over the left ear of the little girl in a red shirt.

$10 off $50 -- Drag the first set of layered tanks (orange and fuchsia) and drop it on to the rightmost model.

10% off total purchase when you buy denim -- Click on the lollipop held by the little girl in the red shirt.

Free McDonald's mochas

McDonald's will have Free Mocha Mondays for the next four weeks. They are offering free iced or hot coffee every Monday until August 3.  The free mochas are available from 7am to 7pm only.  Fine print: only one 8oz hot mocha or 7oz iced mocha per person per visit.
