National Park Service fee-free weekend

This weekend is a special national park weekend (August 15 and 16).

Harry S Truman National Historic Site

Truman's home is located in Independence MO, while his farm home is located in Grandview MO, both in the Kansas City area.  Admission this weekend is FREE.  Here's the link to their website.

Wilson's Creek National Battlefield

Located near Springfield MO, this battlefield was the site of the first major Civil War battle fought west of the Mississippi.  Admission this weekend is FREE.  Link here.
