Toys 'R Us' giraffe celebrates his birthday

Toys 'R Us' giraffe, Geoffrey, is celebrating his birthday tomorrow, 9/26, from 12 noon to 3 p.m.  The store promises birthday parades, activities, and giveaways.  The activities are designed for children ages 3 and up.  See this email link for more details.

Museum Day free admission to many museums 9/26

You can enjoy free admission to many museums tomorrow (9/26), Museum Day.  The Smithsonian Magazine is the sponsor of this event.  You can download the admission card from their website after registering.  Many museums are participating; the majority in MO are in St. Louis.  See the website for the complete list.

Gap Kids casting call runs until 10/22

If you're interested in having your little one star in the next Gap ad campaign, enter him or her in this year's casting call.  There are four categories:  baby girl and baby boy (ages 0 to 4), girl and boy (ages 5 to 10).  Each winner will receive a professional photo shoot and have his/her photos featured in Gap stores nationwide.  He/she will also receive a $1,000 gift card and a VIP vacation to see Disney's The Lion King.  Entries will be accepted until 10/22.  Here is the link.

Stadium Grill burger challenge

I knew there was a burger challenge at the recently opened Stadium Grill (next to Hampton Inn & Suites, across the University Hospital) but I did not know the details until today.  

If you have a big appetite for burgers and fries, this might be right up your alley.  It's called the Tiger Challenge Burger.  The platter costs $74.99 for 6-1/2 lb of burger and 2 lb of fries.  The Challenge: Finish the burger and fries within one hour!  The Prize: You won't have to pay for the platter.  Plus, you get a $50 gift card every month for a year and the restaurant will name the burger after you.  There will only be one winner!  

So far, no one has succeeded and I am not sure it is humanly possible, but that doesn't mean you can't try...  Definitely not for the faint of heart (or those with heart disease)!
